News from Dwelling Place

The Herkimer Apartments are currently under renovation! Plans include complete renovation of the current building as well as adding an additional building on the West side of the building (currently where the parking lot is). The current Herkimer Apartments has 122 small studio and one bedroom apartments. After the renovation, all of the apartments will be expanded to one bedrooms and between the existing building and the new building, there will be 122 apartments. Construction will be completed by the end of 2013.
 
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:

Farmers Markets are starting to open around West Michigan! Be sure to include healthy, local food in your diet for the summer!
 
Several farmers markets are accepting Bridge Cards. In Kent County, there are 9 farmers markets that are participating in the Double Up Food Bucks program starting on July 1! When someone uses a Bridge Card at a Double Up Food Bucks participating community farmers market they get free matching funds up to $20 every different time they go!
