Dwelling Place is all about providing affordable housing, supportive services and revitalizing neighborhoods. Our activities in accomplishing our mission are numerous, here's what we're currently focusing on that we hope you will find of interest and pass along to others.

Parade of Downtown Living

  Become a TOURIST, see the city, soak in all you can and picture yourself in the next chapter of your life.This year find the perfect condominium, check out the culture centers and learn more about city living!City guides will be on the busses to answer questions, talk about the wonders of the city, how to live in it and how to ENJOY it! There will be many special features on the parade this year designed to expose the “tourists” to the excitement of City Living.


For a fourth year, Grand Rapids Magazine and National City Bank are sponsoring the Parade of Downtown Living, June 20-22nd.  This event offers individuals and families the opportunity to visit downtown Grand Rapids and tour several condominium homes.  Again, Dwelling Place is the recipient of the money raised during the event!  

Purchase a $10.00 wristband at your first condominium stop. Cash or checks payable to Dwelling Place will be accepted. Wristbands may be purchased in advance, call 459-3133 for locations the week prior to the Parade. Valid for all three days the wristband is also good for several other stops on the tour and special donations to Dwelling Place from participating restaurants.
