Reflections- A Senior Housing Community Construction Updates

Construction Updates, January, 2012: Carpet and flooring is going into the apartments. Construction has been painting doors and walls and they are starting to get everything put together!

Construction Updates, December, 2011: Installing cabinets and flooring in the apartments. Working on common areas.

Construction Updates, November, 2011: New parking lot and side walk has been put in. Cabinets and ceramic flooring are starting to be installed in the apartments.

Construction Updates, October, 2011: Framing for the additions is up. Work continues inside- getting ready for flooring and cabinets.

Construction Updates, September, 2011: Siding is going up and the framing for the additions is coming together.

Construction Updates, August, 2011: New windows were installed in the building. Work continued on the additions. To replace the utility lines, they had to dig 7 feet beneath the hallway in the building.

Construction Updates, July, 2011: Windows were taken out, siding was taken off, and the building was gutted. Work continued on the additions on the back and side of the building.

Construction Updates, June, 2011: Demolition began on the building. The additions in on the south and east side started to go up.

REFLECTIONS- A SENIOR HOUSING COMMUNITY

Dwelling Place purchased the apartment building at 500 Hall Street in Grand Rapids (formerly Madison Square Apartments). We relocated all of the residents into temporary apartments for the duration of construction which began on June 1, 2011. Before construction there were 60 one bedroom apartments and a community room. We are putting three additions on the building which provide some larger apartments, several community spaces, a community deck and an expanded entry way. Construction on these 60 apartments is scheduled to be finished in March, 2012.
